PARTNERING WITH HORSES AND NATURE TO CREATE MORE PLACES OF PEACE ON EARTH
We are establishing a space in Nevada County, California, where we honor the autonomy of all beings.
We are co-creating, along with a herd of horses, a healthy, peaceful community that can hold space for gatherings, retreats and experiential learning in nature.
WHY HORSES?
Do you know what’s it like to meet face to face with a horse who has lessons to teach us? Standing in the field with their coherent hearts, horses spend time in presence, facilitating a meeting with our authentic selves. Among other things, they show us ways to peacefully resolve conflicts within ourselves and in our communities. Are we ready to allow them to lead us to harmony?
We are manifesting a physical space where people can have conversations with animals that don’t involve restraint or dominance. We want to open a field for two way communication, a dialogue where we are truly listening from the heart and supporting the needs of the other.
Nevada County, California, is rich in artists, farmers, healers and seekers of all kinds. Stormy May is the community member behind this creation.
Stormy, producer of The Path of the Horse, has been working for the past year with a team of 11 people around the world who want to see sanctuaries established where horses and humans can live and learn in peace. Now it’s time to make this real. We’re talking to potential investors and looking for the right property where this can all happen. We’re starting in Nevada County because that is where Stormy lives and where she can directly help manage the sanctuary. The bigger vision is to establish these sorts of sanctuaries around the world.
THE VISION
Everything has a voice. The land, the water, and all the animals. Our foundation is learning to listen and supporting and celebrating the diversity in nature and within each of us.
We see children walking and laughing in expansive meadows, surrounded by birdsong and the scent of native grasses. What treasures await in the wide open spaces? Who wants to help preserve a bit of wilderness in the midst of our community? Who wants safe spaces to work and play with friends?
Our vision is to create, in collaboration with horses, sanctuaries for the body, mind and spirit that honor the autonomy of all beings and allow us to coexist in a healthy and diverse environment. We create unique yet replicable sanctuary areas that grow across the planet as more people become part of this paradigm shift.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Investors and donors who want to be part of this pioneering sanctuary project. There will be opportunities to live on the land full or part time. We would like to raise a minimum of $6 million to purchase the land and fund the project for the first 5 years.
• 100-1,000+ acres in Nevada County that is suitable for natural horse-keeping as well as a community gathering space.

We would need to raise at least $1.5 million to make this our shared home.
